What Does Therapy Look Like?
I support clients to make breakthroughs, by helping them to distinguish intrusive thoughts and feelings from their deeper values and beliefs. No matter how powerful and convincing the thoughts and feelings can be, they are ultimately only mental representations and chemical responses... they are not reality. I help clients change their relationship with these aspects of their experience, and gain control over which ones they are led by. I provide a space to explore these experiences, understand their underlying power, and gain freedom from them. In doing so I work to tackle the shame and isolation of living with obsessions, as well as the moment-to-moment impact they have on my clients relationships and lives. This involves addressing the short-term symptoms, and deeper attachment issues I believe to underpin RJ and ROCD.

How therapy looks:

We would have an initial online consultation session to chat about the difficulties you've been having, some of your goals for therapy, and how I can work with you to achieve them. There is no obligation for you to commit to therapy unless you feel ready to do so.

If you wish to start working with me we would meet once a week on an online video call for a session which lasts 50mins. Consultations, and each subsequent session are charged at £70.00 or international equivalent. I am able to work with clients globally, provided we can find a mutually convenient time to talk each week. I do not require that clients commit to a certain number of sessions, as results are often determined by implementing therapeutic techniques outside of sessions. I am a trained counsellor and psychotherapist and can therefore work with any issues that you wish to bring to therapy.

As well as therapeutic techniques, I offer an empathic and non-judgmental space where we can explore what you're going through, where that may have come from, and a way out of it that works for you specifically.

I undertake regular supervision with a Clinical Psychologist and am committed to practicing in an ethical and evidence-based way.
